Daylight shined in to the darkened den driving back the shadows that covered the two beings sleeping inside.

Kunoa groaned as the light hovered directly over her eyelids disturbing her from her slumber. " Go away, sun! Nobody wants you here!" But unfortunately Mother Nature would not be deterred and the sun seemed to shine brighter after Kunoa's little remark.

"Ugh, fine! Damn evil sunlight...." As she was muttering obscenities she pushed herself to her paws and stretched shaking bits of hay and moss from her fur.

She thought of waking up Dhoruba but decided against it, Digging her claws into the firmly packed earth she climbed out of the den's entrance and inhaled taking in the many scents that swirled around the plains.

Following one particular scent she made her way to a tree, placing her forepaws on the trunk she sniffed making sure there weren't  any spearow around (She did not want a repeat of last time).

Choosing not to climb up the tree this time she instead leapt back then charged ramming the bark with a headbutt the leaves shook from the impact and began to rain fruits.
Quickly rushing to another spot she managed to find a large leaf and dragged it over to the fallen berries and began rolling them onto the leaf and  bent down gently lifting  the tip and stem of the leaf in her mouth she then trotted back to Dhoruba's home.

Tracking her scent back the way she came she arrived at the den she had been allowed to take shelter in the night before, as she climbed into the hole being carful not to spill the fruit she had collected.

Her ears twitched as she heard Dhoruba who still sounded half asleep.  " Kunoa, is that you?"

"Yeah it's me!" Although her reply came out a bit muffled as she had a very large leaf in between her teeth.

She walked over to the nest and paced the bundle on the ground just as Dhoruba sat down in front of her.   "Where were you? I didn't see you at all when I woke up."

In response she nudges the bundle towards him the stem and tip of the leaf fell away to reveal a pile of pechas large enough to feed two or more Pokémon. She then steps back and smiles "I brought breakfast!"

He was shocked they hardly knew one another yet she brought food. "...O-oh! Thanks I-I guess.  You didn't have to. Really."

She grins at him. "No big deal! It's the least I can do you did let me stay in your home even though we just met yesterday."

And with that both dug in to the pile of fruit.

Minutes after they finished she decided now was as good as any time to head out and continue her journey.

"Like I said thanks for letting me stay."  The Eevee spoke dipping her head in thanks.

As she turned to leave Dhoruba held a paw up. "Wait! It's a long walk out of here and there's still pechas left over from this morning you should take some of them with you."  He walks back inside and returns with a saddle bag clenched in his teeth.

"No-no way! I couldn't take this it's yours."

He ignored her protests while balancing on his hind legs he slips the pack over her head  and onto her back.

Dhoruba sighed "Don't ask questions just take it."
Its crappy now but it's gonna get better l!
